Scryptli is built around recording and prompting in one place. This page explains what we access, what we store, and how we keep your data under your control.
When you start a recording session, your browser prompts you to grant camera and microphone access. That permission is used exclusively to capture your video take inside the studio. Recordings are saved locally in your browser by default. If you choose to back up a clip to the cloud, the video file is securely uploaded to Scryptli's storage and linked to your account.
Account
When you sign up, we collect your email address and basic profile details through our authentication provider. This information is used solely to manage your account, authenticate you, and sync your scripts across devices.
Analytics
We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics to help improve the product. This data cannot be traced back to you individually and is never sold.
Storage
Video recordings are saved locally in your browser by default. If you choose to back up a clip, it is uploaded to Scryptli's secure cloud storage and associated with your account. Script content is synced to your account for cross-device access.
Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to third parties. We may share data with service providers such as authentication, hosting, and billing providers only as necessary to operate the product.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal of consent for the personal information associated with your account.
Purpose
We collect only what is needed to provide teleprompter services, enable optional cloud backup, manage user accounts, improve the app, and comply with legal obligations.
